Salinas Jaycees
Management Portfolio
2003 was a banner year for the Salinas Jaycees Management Portfolio. Our
fundraising efforts brought in over $37,000.00, a huge increase over our
2002 fundraising income. This huge increase is in large part due to our
good luck in taking over a number of fundraising events from the former
Monterey Jaycees, such as the Monterey County Fair Beverage Booth and
numerous events at Laugna Seca where we provided food and beverage
services. In addition, we partnered with the Salinas Valley Chamber of
Commerce to put on the 7th Annual Monte Carlo Night which was held at
the beautiful National Steinbeck Center. We thank the Chamber for their
partnership and look forward to another successful event in 2004.
The Salinas Jaycees also raised general funds through our participation
at the Salinas Rodeo Food and Beverage Booth, Concessions at our 19th
Annual All Star Football Game, Flight-Line Security at the California
International Airshow, as well as Food and Beverage sales at Countryfest
and the Monster Truck Show.
All monies raised by the Management Portfolio directly benefit the
organization’s members through Mixers, Training and Development,
attending State Conventions, and Recruiting New Members. The Salinas
Jaycees wishes to thank all of our partners for their continued support
and hopes to make 2004 just as successful as 2003, because “Service to
Humanity is the Best Work of Life”!
